Full Disclosure: I've loved Jan Van De Stool for a long time.
I remember back in 2013, I was working on the second season of The Voice Australia, Jan (played perfectly by Queenie van de Zandt) would publish on her YouTube channel with video-blogs reviewing episodes of the singing show. She would offer singing tutorials and recommendations to the Artists (and Delta Goodrem) that always made me laugh so much.
In 2016 (I think?), I was so excited to see Jan become a contestant on Australia's Got Talent (this was the second, and last season to air on Channel 9), and again I adored Jan and her comedy routine. I believe Nine labelled her as the 'comedian Housewife', which was great, but I always thought she was more than just a Housewife to her husband/cousin Peitre and true to her self- as an International Musical Therapist) was so much more.
I was pretty chuffed to find out that Jan Van De Stool has been spending her time in self-isolation make more video-blog. In her new series, Jan offers her thoughts on society during the Coronavirus pandemic and gives her perfectly-qualified advice to help. What do you do if you're an entertainer who can't work? Get a 'proper job with Qantas or even on a cruise ship'! What do you do with your leftover bras at home? Make your own protective mask! It's glorious funny and so clever.
Jan's series, Coronavlog is available for purchase on Vimeo. If you can't afford to pay for for the content, there's always free mini-moments posted on Jan's Facebook page.
